Ok ok. I know… If I was a person who just didn’t like running and I read “THE Most Amazing Run” in a heading, l’d be like “ what the heck?” Really????? Like… Really… how can running be amazing? How can something that’s sweaty, hard and that makes me puff like the magic dragon be AMAZING? Come on Liz. Get real, right?
Ha ha ha… I have no idea what lollipops have to do with this article BUT… I swear this has something to do with pink shoes and being happy! There’s a lovely man I call “Brucy” at my local café. He’s one of those guys that you just fall in love with from the moment you first meet him. He’s so caring and attentive, remembers all his customer’s names laughs his way through his day. As I type this blog he’s cruising around, delivering exquisite coffees to customers each of whom, after having communicated with him, are left with a massive grinner.
Sometimes the concept of connecting with someone may scare you! Heck, I remember vividly wanting to connect with someone… so badly… but because I’d felt so hurt in the past by this person… I just didn’t know what to do. Very quickly, I learnt a very very very cool lesson last night as I watched “Intrepid Journeys” on TV. A TV presenter, from New Zealand, was asked if he wanted to go to Mongolia as part of an Intrepid Journey show. This included traveling through a large city, but the best, most humbling and memorable life lessons this New Zealand (and thus his audience) received came from his contact with Nomadic Mongolians.Continue Reading »
